This was taken in my front lawn in my hometown in PortugalTime
It was on a hot summer afternoon when my cousin and I came to my house after lunchLighting
It was really sunny at lunch time, but my cousin was lying in the shade. This prevented the photo to get overexposed due to the extreme and direct sunlight.Equipment
It was taken with my old phone, an Elephone P7000Inspiration
It was a very spontaneous photo and I didn't have my camera with me, so I used my phone. I just thought my cousin looked somewhat funny seen from above wearing that big hat. The disproportion between her body and the big hat caught my eye, and also her skin color that matched the hat and stood out against the green grass.Editing
Not a lot, I've just enhanced the colors in Lightroom to make her skin and the hat stand out against the green.In my camera bag
I've been using a Canon EOS 750D with a EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and a tripod. That's pretty much it! A few days ago, I invested in a new lens (Canon 85mm) which I expect to add to my bag as soon as it arrives in the mail.Feedback
It's a very simple photo to capture... as I said, this was all very spontaneous. Just pick a spot with good natural lighting but keep away from the direct sunlight. If I had time to plan it, I would have taken this photo from a higher place like standing on a step or even using a drone if I could get one :) Maybe one day I'll try to recreate it.
