Location
This photo was taken in the city center of Florianópolis, I was walking and when I saw this building, the soft lighting and position were decisive for the photoTime
The photo was taken around 5:00 p.m., I was walking and saw a tower leaning between two buildings, so I put the camera on the floor and pointed up toward the sloping building.Lighting
The lighting of this scene is quite soft, which allows to show the details of the buildings, and adds a bit of drama to the black and white atmosphere of the image. Only natural light.Equipment
This photo was shot in a Nikon d60 with 18-55mm Nikon DX lens.Inspiration
I was just walking, taking some pictures on the street, but this building gave a different feeling, the lines formed make this photo my favorite.Editing
Yes, I basically converted the color image to black and white and some brightness adjustments, but something really simple. I just free software for editing and post image processing. In this case I used Rawtherapee and GIMP 2.In my camera bag
I'm a beginner and my backpack is really simple and compact, I have just the Nikon d60 kit lens 18-55mm and ND and skylight filters. This small kit is practical for photographs like this, where I simply go to the street to photograph.Feedback
Simply go out on the street, explore and observe your city, neighborhood, or head to new locations (taking care of yourself and respecting restrictions due to COVID-19). Another very important point, experiment, look for different angles, different compositions, varied illuminations... summarizing test the possibilities and discover new things.
