Location
This photo was taken from on a small bridge looking down into the water of a pond near my home.Time
We were just about to lose light at this point - moments later we had a spectacular sunset! We barely got the boat out in time to catch it!Lighting
I wanted to catch the moment of the boat floating in absolute silence. The darkness of the water as we headed to sunset and the few ripples allowed it look like the boat was suspended.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon R with an adapter and 24mm.Inspiration
This is my little brother and his fiancé! When I heard my nephew had inherited an old rowboat and that they wanted to lean toward vintage in a style that would reflect her favorite movie The Notebook), I knew we needed to borrow that old boat!Editing
Simple color correction and an action to the bring out the colors is all that this shot required. In my camera bag
I shoot a Canon R with an adapter for my lenses. I carry a 70-200, a 24mm and a 50mm typically. I travel light!Feedback
Patience waiting for a boat to float to just the right spot without ripples is an absolute necessity!
