This photo is taken at Cadini di Misurina in Italy where it is situated near to lago di Misurina .Time
We had to wake up very early that morning as we had 40 minutes drive and about 30 minutes hike to get there an hour before the sunrise so we can explore the area and waiting for the perfect light and colors . I think it was all worth it because we came back with plenty of beautiful images.Lighting
I wanted to catch the first light of the day and of course the colors that you get during the sunrise. And I wanted the light to hit on the peaks and the rest of the scene to be in low light conditions to have a great contrast.Equipment
For this image I used my Nikon D610 with the Nikkor 300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED on my Benro tripod .Inspiration
I had visited the area of Tre Cime di Lavaredo already two times and I had never been that close to these beautiful peaks . I had taken photos only from far away . So the third time I decided to get closer and take some different and more impressive frames in my opinion .Editing
In this one I didn't do a lot of post - processing work . But before I take this shot I knew that I wanted to create a color grading with blue shades and warm highlights. So after I made the basic adjustments in lightroom I finished the mood and the color grading in photoshop. I also added some extra light to make the scene a bit more dramatic. In my camera bag
In my bag there is always my Nikon D610 and two of my favorite lenses . The Nikkor 20mm f/1.8 G which you can use for many different types of photography and the Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED which is a really descent and sharp lens. I also have two ND filters one 6stop and one 10stop for long exposure shots.Feedback
If you want to take a similar image the first thing you have to do is to wake up early to get there because the best light is during sunrise. If you are planning to do that is better to visit the place a day before so you can explore the area and to find the perfect spot for you and to find the composition you want. And of course you will need the right equipment.
