Interesting observation! Thirty years ago in November my son and I spent a weekend stringing lights is 7 or 8 trees in a small corner lot/park in downtown Seattle. Ever since I have a keen appreciation for those trees. It was the first year any trees had been lit for Christmas. The city requested that the lights remain on the trees since it made the sidewalks much safer at night. Every tree in downtown is now lit!
