Ancient history, I suppose. I used Minoltas back then. I did use a tripod because I shot it with Kodak Technical Pan, which had an ISO of 25. (You could shoot it for different purposes at other ISOs, using a variety of developers for different effects, but basic photography, it was 25, a very slow film.) I wanted as much detail in the negative as possible, and Technical Pan was, for its day, exceptionally fine-grained. Much of this may mean little today. The digital revolution in photography has made considerations like this secondary at best.Inspiration
I am a lifelong admirer of Ansel Adams and the whole f.64 Group movement. Part of the reason we went to Colorado was see if I could do shots like his. No comparison, of course, but it seemed every bend int he road offered a new opportunity.Editing

These days, I have a Canon 60D and two lenses, both zooms---a 28 to 150 and a 70 to 300. I also pack a set of close-up filters and a polarizer. After doing this for 50 years, I've gotten it reduced to essentials.Feedback
The "secret" to good art is---look closer.
