Found this photo from June 2017 as I was going through my phone
Backstory:
I was taking classes to earn my photography certificate & during one of my classes my instructor was showing us some of his photos which included a black & white photo of his model's hands playing the piano & when I saw that photo I had the idea to recreate that for my own portfolio & thanks to an awesome friend of mine who also happens to be an extremely gifted pianist I was able to get the shot & going on the world race wasn't even a thought yet (as I was called to go on the world race in July of that year). Little did I know that this one photo would unintentionally plant a seed that would lead to a photo series that I took while on the world race called

No special lighting as I just used the light that was given off by a nearby lamp & some natural light from a window near where the piano was located

Samsung Galaxy S7 phone

Inspiration

I took a B&W photography class to get my certificate and my instructor showed us a similar photo from his collection & I saw it and it inspired me to take a photo of my own & this photo would later inspire me to create a whole project based off of just people's hands

Hands can tell a story about a person Make sure you have an good relationship with them before photographing & ask permission to tell their story Plus it's also a good why of telling a persons story without showing their face especially children
