Location
This photo was taken in studio with the use of a flash with a snoot to create a controlled area of light.Time
The actual shot was done at night in a studio.Lighting
I was using a Godox TT685s with a remote trigger. The flash has a Magmod snoot on a tall tripod angled downwards.Equipment
Sony a99ii, Godox TT685S, Tripod, Sony 28/F28Inspiration
I have been interested in shadows and shadow photography. This was an experiment in utilizing flash and shadow to create the image.Editing
A slight addition of darker contrast from the original picture. In my camera bag
Sony a99ii, Sony 28/f28, Sony 50/1.4, Tamron 28-75/2,8, Tamron 28-200. Depending on the idea or project, I will bring 1-3 flashes with my Magmod accessories. I also tend to carry 2-3 multicolor tactical flash lights.Feedback
Everyone says learn to read the light. I practiced reading light and shadows. For this shot I imagine exactly what I want lit up and the rest should be dark.
