Not a Warbler, but thanks for trying. I would also try and enter sharper images.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin Way Beerwah Qld Australia) 12th September 2017. We had a family day at the zoo and this native Australian was not shy at all.

Time

From memory it was just after lunch time, it was a beautiful sunny day.

Lighting

It was a beautiful sunny day, but he was sitting on a railing in the shade of the tropical rainforest. No flash used just adjusted the ISO to 800 WB to shade and lowered the aperture to f.5.6

Equipment

Canon EOS 7D with a Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3

Inspiration

I love capturing birds sitting or in flight, This little fellow was happy to sit and let me change settings to capture him. Kookaburras are Native to Australia and are part of the Kingfisher family. They so unique as the sound like they are laughing. As a child I had a Kookaburra I named Jacky would come each night to our back deck and I would hand feed him mince. So they hold wonderful memories for me

Editing

No

In my camera bag

A Sigma 500mm UV filter, spare batteries and a flash. I carry tightly folded up plastic bags and rubber bands to use if I get caught in the rain. It saves your camera gear from getting damaged and it is handy to put your phone in too. Being a mother and a woman it usually gets used as my handbag too...LoL

Feedback

Use manual setting as if you are doing a portrait photo. As it was in a very shaded area I had a ISO of 800 f.5.6 E1.80 camera was set on movement not still. I did not use a tripod but I did use a pole to steady myself on. Patience is the key with any bird photo.
