I took this photo at my home in Alabama. I am fairly new to photography, so I am still experimenting with what works and what doesn't work.Time
I took this photo indoors in the middle of the day in my garage using my deep freeze as my table.Lighting
As crazy at it may sound, I only used one of those LED camping lanterns you can buy at any retail store. The other lighting came from the background image from my tablet I used to create all the colors.Equipment
I created this image using a Canon EOS Rebel T7i and a Canon Macro Lens EF 100 mm 1:2.8 Lens. A tripod was also used.Inspiration
I am fascinated with Macro photography, colors and uniqueness. I enjoy taking pictures of various things to see what I can create in a photograph.Editing
The only post-processing I did on this image was cropping and a little touch up with the lighting.In my camera bag
The equipment I keep in my camera bag is my Canon EOS Rebel T7i body, my Canon Macro Lens EF 100 mm 1:2.8 Lens, my Canon EFS 18 - 55 mm lens and my most used lens, a Canon EFS 55 - 250 mm lens. Besides my lenses, I also keep extra batteries, an SD card reader, various filters and cleaning tools.Feedback
I created this image using oil, water and a few drops of dish detergent. The best advice I can give for capturing your own image like this is to experiment with unique backgrounds, different lighting and lighting angles, occasional fresh movement of the oil and water using a toothpick and keep your camera on continuous shoot to get the best shots. Be patient and stay confident in your abilities and remember, we can still achieve great photography on a budget.
