This photo was taken on my farm in Pickens county, AL. My neighbor was having his wheat crop sprayed and this Agcat pilot was doing a great job getting in all the corners of this hilly wheat field. I had been taking pics of him on another field on the other side of my property, but now he had moved to this field and I had raced over to catch pics of him in action and found the sun was just right on him coming at me I. This direction.Time
It was mid afternoon and the sun was hitting the plane and spray just right so, you can see the pattern and volume of spray this plane was putting out.Lighting
The angle of the sun on the spray helped catch the action of the plane moving across the field.Equipment
I used a Nikon P900 to make this shot. I moved until I got lined up with him. No time for a tripod.Inspiration
I was trying to catch the high powered action of this plane as it worked the fields. The sun on the swirls of spray really helped show what an AGV at can accomplish.Editing
No.In my camera bag
The Nikon P900, Some closeup lenses, a tripod mount, extra sd cards.Feedback
Getting lined up for the shot is key to capturing these planes in action. But, you don’t have long, so be ready. Try to realize the path he is taking across the field and get ahead of him and let him fly to you.
