Behind The Lens

Location

I am an amateur photographer and to overcome the desire to capture the best photo, I clicked this photo at Nadukani viewpoint which is located at an altitude of 3000 ft above sea level in Munnar of Kerala State in India. A clear view of the Muvattupuzha River, Moolamattom town, and mountains touching the sky.

Time

This is one of my most favorite and amazing clicks on one of the rainy days at 2pm in October 2019. Rains were just stopped and clear valley view was visible to surprise eyes. I had to step balancing myself and my camera on the edge of the mountain top for this shot. And the result is that many times, today also, I zoom this photo in the center to reach near the river flowing and then fill very joyful, refreshing thinking that I captured one of the best shots in Nature.

Lighting

Clouds just moved from the valley above the mountains. The sunlight was brightening everything and clouds were moving after coloring valley and mountains into a lush green.

Equipment

This was captured using Nikon D3500 with 18-55mm f/3.5 lens. Just that nothing else.

Inspiration

The river flowing through lush green moutains, clouds touching mountains, small townhomes, and town road in the valley all this just enough to hold my breath and click on camera button to capture to believe what my eyes were seeing.

Editing

I did small changes in exposure, brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows.

In my camera bag

I just carry Nikon D3500 with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens
