No, they are not out of focus. Lenticular clouds or Lee Wave clouds form downwind of an obstacle in the path of a strong air current. In this case, the Huachuca Mountains of southeastern Arizona. The Huachucas stand at an elevation of over 9,400 feet. The word Huachuca translates to "Thunder."
