Gratitude

Rescue is seldom easy, but every once in a very great while, there comes an unexpected bonus.
Meet Deb Harper, my dear friend who is no less than a saint. She rescues, fosters, cares for & cries every time one of her charges passes on. She recently took a crippled mare in on behalf of another rescue; the mare suffered from old injuries that were never taken care of, she arrived wary & scared ... she also harboured a secret.
Yesterday morning this little gal burst into the world with gusto, and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down since! Lexi & I were invited down to meet her today & were met with snuggles, face licks & other foal antics! Thanks to the love of this woman, this little gal will know only love & tenderness in the first part of her life.
