Sedona's Chapel of the Holy Cross draws pilgrims from around the globe. Its stunning modern architecture blends the church structure with the surrounding landscape. Photographing the church brought to mind a flood of scripture and song that speak to God's provision and protection, love and grace, mercy and justice, transcendence and immanence. Psalm 46 immediately came to mind: "God is our refuge and strength ..."; as did the hymn "Rock of Ages." In the midst of my haste to capture this beautiful church I encountered an unexpected moment of profound worship. May this image help center your heart and thoughts on God.
