Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the Pacific Palisades in California. I’m a self taught photographer so every time i shoot I learn new things.

Time

Around noon. I started at the top of the hill shooting and as I was making my way down there was view point so I pulled over and snapped this real quick.

Lighting

It was a pretty sunny and clear day. Once I started editing and playing around with settings the darker setting just felt right.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon EOS 5DS R with a 24-105 mm lens.

Inspiration

I just got my camera and started driving over LA and stumbled upon this view point.

Editing

I did some editing in Lightroom. Just started playing around with “Moody” presets and playing with the settings and was really happy with what I chose.

In my camera bag

Just my Canon 5DS R and my friends 24-105 mm lens. Just starting out taking pictures and slowly starting to build my bag.

Feedback

It’s always sunny here in California so there’s never a bad time or day to go day take pictures. Find a beach or a good vantage point of the beach and start shooting.
