This was taken at the fantastic Keukenhof in Holland. The Keukenhof gardens have hundreds of varieties of tulips.Time
Mid-afternoon, however, this shot was taken in the indoor exotic variety greenhouse.Lighting
There were both natural light and greenhouse lighting.Equipment
I used a 100-400mm telephoto lens in order to really fill the frame with the flower. Being in a greenhouse made the flowers in the flowerbeds out of near reach.Inspiration
The Keukenhof itself lends inspiration. You really could hardly go there and not take pictures.Editing
I vignetted the background to reduce the nervousness of the bokeh and add some pop to the tulip.In my camera bag
