I took this photo in Fiscal, a small village in the north of Portugal. It is a magnificent village, where you can breathe nature and life. A place where there are a thousand things happening around us, little things with enormous meaning.Time
I took this photo on March 17th at 3:27 pm.Lighting
I didn't use any kind of lighting. I remember that day was splendid, there was a golden light that framed each person, each animal, each plant, each rock... It was early spring, and everything together created a warm and familiar environment.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 800D with an 18-55mm f4-5.6 IS STM lens. No more equipment was involved.Inspiration
This was a difficult time in Portugal. The pandemic had started and everyone was forced to stay at home indefinitely. The families were separated and there was little to rejoice. During those days, two dogs appeared at my door and stayed there every day. Every day I went for a walk, where I took the opportunity to photograph. Every day the two dogs came with me wherever I went, we walked for miles and miles, they stopped where I stopped. I could spend hours trying to take a foto that they were there, just looking. This photo was taken in one of those moments. I was trying to photograph a bee inside a flower when I look ahead and see one of the dogs looking at the same bee, more focused than me. Then I realized "What a beautiful look..." My intention was to understand what was going on, at that moment, in that dog's head, and record the moment.Editing
I only used Adobe Lightroom to highlight the shadows in the image. In my camera bag
I always carry with me my Canon 800D with an 18-55mm f4-5.6 IS STM lens. The reason is simple, it is the only camera I have and I am very happy with the photos I can take with it. Sometimes I take a tripod with me, but only when I have a clear objective of what I want to photograph and that requires a tripod.Feedback
I think the real beauty is in the little things. Look at something that everyone looks at and see things that nobody sees. Looking into things, not just superficially. I have no experience in photography, I just have a huge passion for doing it. Besides that, I think that one of the biggest secrets is having patience. We managed to do incredible things with a camara and a good deal of patience.
