Male Anthornis melanura (bellbird, kōmako, korimako) on what I am guessing must be Salvia confertiflora (red velvet sage, harvest sage, sabra spike sage). The colour of the flowers complements his eye colour, and he his feather colour was a good match for some of the yellower leaves (though I ultimately cropped most of those out).
