Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Samal Island in Davao City, Philippines. The beach is my happy place and seeing vibrant colors such as these, gives me that kind of mood that will surely brighten up my day whenever I'm on a vacation.

Time

The sky was such a beauty while the whole beach was bursting with colors. Taken late in the afternoon. While people are settled in their hammocks, laid on the sand, getting that perfect tan while reading a book and sipping their favorite drink.

Lighting

I wanted this photo as vibrant as possible. I had a couple of shots in different angles and this became my favorite. Just by looking at it makes we want to go back to the beach. The picture itself is so inviting.

Equipment

This was taken using Fujifilm XT10 with 35mm lens.

Inspiration

Whenever I travel, I see to it that I have that one photo that will surely stand out from the rest. It helps me remember everything about the place. It serves as my memorabilia.

Editing

This was post-processed with some tweaking to make it more surreal.

In my camera bag

Whenever I travel, I make sure to bring my Fujifilm XT10, 35mm and 16mm lens with me. No need for tripod. Just click and shoot, wherever and whenever.

Feedback

I'm not a professional. I just love taking pictures. I guess when you have that same hobby as mine, you always make sure that you capture every single thing that catches your eye. No matter how simple the subject is, capture it. Enhance it. Appreciate it. That makes your photo stands out.
