Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during my trip to Iceland. This area in Iceland has been shut off to tourists due to foot traffic destruction. Very glad I got to see this while I could.

Time

This was taken in mid-afternoon. Iceland’s sun doesn’t rise much during the winter, so this picture captures the highest point it gets on the horizon in January.

Lighting

All natural lighting.

Equipment

Canon 800D, 18-135mm

Inspiration

I was taking pictures of everything in Iceland. How could I look at this view and not take it?!

Editing

Straightened the image and did minor edits to even out the light.

In my camera bag

Tripod Mini tripod Multiple lens Lens cleaner Lens protector Lens filters

Feedback

If you are having issues with the settings, try switching to Auto and take a photo. Once you take it, look back at the settings that the camera used, then switch back to manual and change the settings to help achieve your shot.
