Location
This photo was taken in Ocean Springs, MS.Time
This was taken as the sun was setting.Lighting
The clouds and wind added extra drama to a cool spring evening. The clouds were moving along quickly and rain was threatening, but it all came together in this beautiful shot.Equipment
I used my Nikon CoolPix P1000, handheld.Inspiration
I am always looking for a new spot to take photographs. This was taken on the St. Martin - Ocean Springs area overlooking the back bay. I love the nearly ripple-less water even though the wind was blowing. In this particular area of water it is surrounded and so allows for minimal water disturbance.Editing
I try to not over process during my editing. There was not much that needed to be done to this photo. A few simple edits using my basic tools and that was it for processing. In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon CoolPix P1000, extra batteries, a snakebite kit (because we do live in an area with lots of snakes), my raincoat for my camera, lol and my tripod for just in case.Feedback
Always be prepared for whatever may happen. As we all know the weather can change in an instant especially so from the mountainous areas to the coastal areas like where I live. You never know if the wind will start kicking up or if it's going to end up being a windless day; it may look like rain, but never rain. It may look like we won't have rain, but end up with it pouring. You just have to be prepared for whatever the day may bring. Weather elements are key in capturing the right photo.
