I took this on a trip to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester. We had a walk through Media City, to the shops and back again. The light and mist as well as a little rain added to the image by reflecting the light on the floor.

Location
This was taken in Manchester - we went for a trip to the War Museum and then had a walk out afterwards. It was dark, a bit of rain in the air and the bridge was standing out in the gloom. I decided to get a picture.Time
the image was taken sometime between 5 and 7pm I think. We'd had a quick look around the Lowry Centre and the shops were trying to close up.Lighting
as you can see the bridge is the main source of lighting within the shot. I have intensified the Blue in photoshop to try and make the up lighting pop from the background.Equipment
my faithful bridge camera. No fussing with lenses and making sure I have the appropriate one on.Inspiration
the light and structure are what made me take the photoEditing
yes - auto sharpen is a must then I messed around with the Blues too.In my camera bag
I travel light unless I am after something specific. I tend to just have the uv filter on the lens and that it is. If I go out prepared it may just be a tripod I take. I do have a time lapse camera which is great for catching motion for example the sky or sea.Feedback
Get the image - even if it looks dull you could try haze removal etc when you get home. You can convert to a duotone or black and white to make it more dynamic. The sky is the limit - just take the shot or you can't do anything.
