taken at Bolton Abbey this Kestrel was watching intently for food, over a field full of people out for walks, picnics and fun. Amazing how nature survives despite us being in their environment.

Location
This photo was taken at Bolton Abbey. I had seen the Kestral flying about and saw it land in a free about 80m away. I searched through the camera lens until I found it. This was the best of the shots taken. It doesn't seem to mind people having picnics and making noise at ground level.Time
It was taken around 2pm. I had to extend the lens as far as I could whilst keeping my hands steady so as not to lose the Kestral.Lighting
It was just natural daylight and too far away for flash or anything fancy.Equipment
I used my Sony Cyber-shot bridge camera to take the shot. There was no flash or tripod used.Inspiration
I love nature and walking so spotting the Kestral was a big bonus for me.Editing
I haven't on this image although I do have another version which brought out its colouring much moreIn my camera bag
I tend to travel light as I never know where or when I will get my next shot.Feedback
Be patient and keep your eyes open. I quite often turn around to see the view behind me as it is something you can miss on a circular walk.
