Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Sacramento Zoo

Time

Late afternoon when the light was Crossing through the complex .

Lighting

The light was reflected off of the back and side walls

Equipment

Nikon D810 Vintage Vivitar 120 to 600 mm lens and a Bogen tripod.

Inspiration

The male lion was interacting with the female lion and they were not agreeing to something that afternoon. You can see it by the expression on his face.

Editing

This was the way it was taken no post processing.

In my camera bag

Nikon D810 Sigma 15-30 Nikon 70-200 2.8 and Tokina 300 2.8

Feedback

Try to use early morning or later afternoon light it brings out the best natural light and the colors are richer. Bring along a lens at least 300mm and above and a tripod.
