Came upon this image in the fading light of a cold and snowy evening in the Albula Alps of Switzerland. The trees were located seemingly in the middle of a meadow which could very well been a snow covered not so frozen lake. The first step I made onto the meadow was a scary one, but I eventually came to terms that it was only a meadow. Braving the tunneling razor sharp winds in the valley I waited and photographed the scene when the wind calmed. Turned out to be one of my favorites of our 48 hours in Switzerland.
