Location
This photo was taken on a beautiful summer day at Stinging Fork Falls State Natural Area in beautiful eastern Tennessee. A lovely, rocky hike along the river and through the woods lead to this beautiful flowing falls!Time
The hike to this trail was moderate, and quite an exercise on a hot mid summer’s day. However, even in the mid day heat, the reward of the hike was refreshing as we reached the beautiful riverside and followed the trail to the falls.Lighting
I love how the water mist from the falls were captured in the summer sun, creating beautiful bokeh lighting effects and sun flares!Equipment
This photo was taken on my older Canon Rebel T2i, set up on a tripod in manual mode. At the time I didn’t have a shutter release remote, so I took a few long exposure shots and hoped for the best, which to my happiness the shots came out beautifully!Inspiration
I am a waterfall chaser. I love to capture these places and scenes in a way that encompasses the beauty of the flowing water, colors of the forest and waters, and also try to get light rays and sunshine reflections involved if possible. I like to take these things in nature and vamp up their beauty to the next level to really showcase the true wonders of nature!Editing
I used Adobe Lightroom to further enhance the lighting of the image so there would be better lighted photo with crisp and clean colors. I use minimal editing on my photos to ensure I keep the beauty of my shots as raw and pure as possible. In my camera bag
I usually carry my camera and tripod and that’s it! I have recently purchased a shutter release remote for long exposure shots that I carry with me now as well. I am just an amateur photographer and artist who loves to capture the world and share its beauty with everyone around me.Feedback
I recommend researching the different functions and settings of your camera. I taught myself through different research online the aspects of ISO, exposure, aperture and the works. It took me time and I am still learning different speeds and settings to use that depend on my scene I am trying to capture, but with plenty of practice you will watch your photography transform over time into something incredible!
