Location
This was taken on Tower Bridge, London.Time
It was around 28.00 in December, 2 days before Christmas.Lighting
I like how the city comes alive at night. I wanted to capture that in the best way possible and thought this iconic image would be a good place.Equipment
Pentax K1 and 28-105mm lens. I wish I had a tripod with me too.Inspiration
I actually got into London at the crack of dawn and spent the day walking and exploring. Knowing the city fairly well, I knew where mostly where to go. By the end and walking for 12 hours, I nearly turned back and wanted to get one more shot. I arrived at the bridge, a little unprepared and waited for the past bit of light. I didn’t have a tripod so balanced my camera on the bridge and luckily caught this.Editing
I lightened the whole image as I under exposed a little. Also increased contract but only a little. In my camera bag
I have my camera everywhere I go, usually with this lens or my 24-70 2.8, and my sigma 100-300 F4. I try to take a tripod also and they are the same size filter so usually have a filter or two - usually the ND1000 and circular polariser. Spare batteries are also a must as I often forget to take one - or get carried away.Feedback
I think that when things are looking exciting, or hopeful but you are tired/it’s busy. Just go for it and try to capture one more image. From the whole day, this is my favourite and I was very tempted to go home.
