1674 door in Aspet. At the beginning of the 15th century, the Coarraze family took the lead of the territory the town is located. Raymond-Arnaud II de Coarraze fought with Joan of Arc during the Siege of Orléans during the Hundred Years' War between France and England. The last representative of the Coarraze name was dame Catherine, who supposedly commissioned architectural features visible in the town. She died in 1492, leaving the leadership to the County of Foix. While this door was fixed a couple of centuries after the Coarraze's hand made its impact on the town, the town's architecture is an interesting display of its development from the Renaissance and the Early modern period.
