Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my den.

Time

This photo was taken about 10:00 in the morning.

Lighting

Miracle's cat tree is in the conner in the den which has a wall of windows so the light is great almost any time of day

Equipment

Canon 80D with a EFS 18 to 135mm IS, f/3.5 to 5.6, zoom Nano USM lens

Inspiration

I had just finished using the vacuum with Miracle runs and hides from. This time she ran and climbed to the top of her cat tree. I decided to coax her down to shoot a few snaps of her playing, but she would come down. So I took the lens cap off and held it out. Her curiosity overcame her fear and Ms Nosey climbed down to investigate what I was holding in my hand wasn't food, but anything new that I had she need to claim as hers ... except the vacuum lol!

Editing

Unfortunately, I didn't do any post processing this image is straight out of the camera. If I had I might have had a better shot at winning contest.

In my camera bag

My DSLR cameras have evolved over the years starting with the Rebel SXi to a 60D, 70D, 7D and 5D Mark III. Now I shoot with an 80D almost exclusively. My bag always has two lenses in it, an EF 85mm f/ 1.8 and the 18-135 mm f/ 3.5 - 5.6 kit lens and a dimmable led light for moments when AF needs a little assist. I also have a spare battery, memory cards and IR remote, cable release, mini notebook and a couple of pens.

Feedback

Always leave the lens cap off, and the camera close and on standby!
