I took this photo on vacation at the beach in Galveston, TX.Time
It was taken in the late afternoon almost dusk.Lighting
The lighting from the sun thru the clouds made the sky & the rides on the pier look magical & colorful.Equipment
I used my go walk-around-vacation camera Sony RXII 100. It was shot at f/3.5 ISO 400.Inspiration
I was inspired by how beautiful & colorful the sky was at that time of day overlooking the water & the colors of the rides on the pier.Editing
I shot the photo in raw & only slightly edited in Lightroom to enhance the colors.In my camera bag
I normally shoot with Nikon D750 & various lenses. 18-120mm f/4 or 16-35mm f/4. I also carry around a 50mm lens.Feedback
I think it’s being at the right place at the right time as it happened in this photo. We were finished having dinner & when we walked outside the lighting was absolutely magical. I snapped a few shots & I loved the capture I got at that moment.
