The cold has really shown itself this year. Behind the airport in Anchorage, is a spot where you can watch the planes come and go. To get there, you must first follow a long, windy road whose end seems to become its beginning, as it opens into a huge field. Its in this field where you can park and observe the planes directly above you as they lift off or come in to land.
Even with all that bustle about, you can still experience the delicate touch of mother nature in winter. Its her snow art that makes the long drive worth it all.
