Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken on a meadow at the side of the river "Lippe" at my hometown Dorsten

Time

it was in the early afternoon

Lighting

fortunately the heron flies from a shadow zone into the light and there i caught him

Equipment

It was the first time i photographed with my brand new Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2, and i use my Canon EOS 5D Mark III, no tripod but freehand

Inspiration

I want to shoot several animals with my new Tamron, so this was the first i met at this day

Editing

yes, it was necessary to crop the file and i enlarged the colours a little bit and sharpen and reduce the noise

In my camera bag

normally a weight of 12 - 15 kilograms :-) Body 5 D MIII and some L-Lenses from Canon - 24-70/2.8 II, 70-200/2.8 III, 14/2.8, 100/2.8 macro - additional Sigma 85/1.4 for Portrait, and now the new one Tamron 150-600. Mostly i carry it with my bike because of the heavy weight, walking with that weight is very exhausting for me

Feedback

large focal length with fast AF, and go out into nature and keeping an eye out and observe
