Wonderful.
You have given 2020 a positive swing that is really (nice) positive, a contribution to the Year 2020 Collection. As always, the competition will be tough, which, as an added consequence, makes the victory taste very sweet. Good luck and probably for the … time: Happy New Year and stay healthy in 2021!

Location
The local botanical garden was hosting the "Southeastern Raptor Show" put on by the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine. I reserved a ticket, got there early and got a spot right down front, as it was a unique photo opportunity.Time
Mid morning in early November.Lighting

Other than a rather aggressive crop, all post processing was very minor. The original picture was full bodied and centered on the frame. When zooming in to enjoy the detail, I noticed that his form cut an interesting diagonal across the frame, so I used that as the basis of the crop.In my camera bag
Camera, 55-250 telephoto zoom, 18-75 landscape zoom, 40mm prime, 100mm macro lens… extra batteries and memory cards, mini tripod. iPad for in field previews… pen and notebook for any notes… various UV, ND and other filters.Feedback
Just shoot. Shoot lots and lots and lots. Try everything… this is the digital age… no film required or wasted.
