I met a girl in a bar who told me if I wanted to find myself I should travel alone. I decided to take my first solo trip to Death Valley. My mother forbid it. I took this photo at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in the park just as the sun was setting. It felt like I was on another planet. So peaceful.
