Haines, Alaska. Early morning. At Mile 19 it’s breakfast time for this bald eagle. I’ve been an editorial and advertising photographer in New York City for nearly two decades, specializing in beauty and fashion.

I started photographing wildlife four years ago. I made friends with several accomplished wildlife photographers and accompanied them in their travels. Along the way, I was told the do’s and don’ts of wildlife image making.

I have always followed my heart with everything in my life. I decided, if I love an image where the head doesn’t show, then I love an image where the head doesn’t show. The do’s and don’ts won’t change how I feel.

This Image reminds me of a beautiful cape. Be it wildlife or fashion, its beauty I’m after.
