This photo was taken on holiday in Barbados in October 2013, I’m an amateur photographer but I always take my dslr with me on my travels.Time
This shot was taken in the middle of the day, it’s my hotel room door & as I was returning from the beach I thought the reflection of the beach looked too good not to try & capture.Lighting
It was bright sunshine so I had to get myself into the right position so as I wasn’t reflected in the window along with the beautiful beach scene.Equipment
I took this shot on my Cannon 400D with a 18-50mm lens ( I think! )Inspiration
I was walking back to my hotel room & I was just stunned by the beautiful reflection on the door & it captured the stunning view of the beach that I was privileged to have for my 10 day stay. I just really liked a different perspective of showing the stunning scenery!Editing
I put this image into Lightroom but I did very minimal adjustments to the brightness & contrast but that was all that was needed. In my camera bag
I’m still attached to my Canon 400D she’s super old now but I still love her for the types of photography that I love to do, I always have my 18-50mm lens, a 70-300mm & a macro lens. I often take my flash but I rarely use it for landscape photography.Feedback
Keep your eyes peeled! There’s amazing compositions in the strangest of places! I was simply walking to my room when I saw this shot and be careful not to include yourself in the shot ( unless you want to! ) so it may include some interesting body positions to get the best composition.
