The reason I'm calling this volcano the Christmas Volcano is mainly because of its snow cover and its North Glacier. Popocatépeti is the second highest peak in Mexico at 17,802 feet. It last erupted on August 17th, 2016. It was so amazing to see it (this shot is not erupting). Mostly it is covered in clouds. I was so stunning to the naked eye that I just stopped our caravan dead in their tracks and got out right then and there and shot it till the clouds covered it 20 minutes later. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
