This image was taken at my friend's townhouse. I had set up a backdrop and took it handheld. I am a fan of old paintings and I wanted to give it a reminisce of the classic portrait.Time
It was doing a hair appointment around late evenings on December 18th, 2019. It was meant as a promotional image for hairstylist but I decided to have extra for myself because I love about the atmosphere of the image.Lighting
This was using strobe with a 42" Silver Beauty Dish as you can see a slight contrasty result.Equipment

I am huge fan of studio portraitures. this beautiful woman have hair done with some hair accessories and it gives me the feeling of people of color in fashion, maybe a little bit of vogue type, Ethiopia like. I wanted to give the world something to express and feel from their hearts, eyes and mind. A strong beautiful capture is the goal.Editing
Well, the colors are mostly the reason I gone into the Fujifilm system because of the beautiful color science from Fujifilm are astonishing! I first processing the basic adjustments in Capture One Pro and then head it over to Photoshop for skin retouching. Not much done, keep it simple.In my camera bag

Take the time to find the beauty of the subject. Pay attention the lighting, the shadow, the poses on the hands, facial expression, clothing and hair type. Make sure everything is all check out before hand.
