The setting late afternoon sun shines through a high thin overcast in Nevada's Red Rocks Conservation Area. Remnants of last nights snow can be seen clinging to the upper slopes. The desert colors in winter are subdued and subtle but very beautiful adding to an atmosphere of mystery.
