I took this shot while walking around my future hometown of Charleston SC on a cool December night. It was taken on the fishing pier looking up at the Ravenel Bridge. I decided that this shot has to be in black and white and a long exposure just to smooth out the water. A plus was how the street lights became stars in the night. Oh how I miss looking up at this beauty!!Time
It was taking at night while taking a stroll with my wife.Lighting
If you get a chance to go to Charleston, you need to put this on your photography list.Equipment
Canon 6DM1 16-35 f4 on a Benro tripod.Inspiration
I like the smooth clean lines of this bridge.Editing
The image was straightened up and a little dodge and burn on the uprightsIn my camera bag
I’m always carrying 2 lenses with me when photographing. My wide, 16-35 f4 and my 70-300L. It’s lighter that my 70-200 2.8 and I lave a bit more reach. And I always carry my tripod and a Platypod for those low and wide interior shots.Feedback
Be patient and take a few shots but make sure your tripod doesn’t grow legs. Keep moving around and get different angles.
