The best shot in this competition by far. Well done on the composition and colors.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a outside of a Old dry cleaners with the classic red and cyber blue popping through the window. Reading cleaners.

Time

It all happened around 11pm on a Sunday, driving back from Venice I decided to take a long route and ran into a gem, passing by the neon signs drove me closer to it like a fly.

Lighting

Lighting was all natural from the neon signs bouncing light back, always chase the light!

Equipment

I used a Sony a7iii, 24-70 nikkor along with a reflection off my phone to get the second reflection.

Inspiration

When I drove by and saw the reflection of my car passing by, I couldn’t help but stop and tell my Friend to put on some shades at night and blow smoke into the air.

Editing

I only enhanced the contrast saturation and sharpness for a good quality.

In my camera bag

I usually only carry a old Sony 50mm lens from my a6300 and a Nikon lens with a EF Sony adapter.

Feedback

I always try and see things from not only my perspective but a perspective off of another or adding in a phone to bounce reflections that can fill a picture. I say really. Try anything no matter what people see you doing you’ll never know until you try. I try to put my phone at a angle right in front of my camera and reflect a pattern or line structure.
