Sorry, I don't remember. From the angle of the bridge shadows it looks to me as though it was in the late morning or early afternoon, but that is just a guess.

Lighting

No this was daylight.

Equipment

It was a large studio camera.

Inspiration

i was a student in a Masterclass at the Graphics Institute. The professor wanted me to to take a very different angle, but I insisted on this more sculptural one. I loved how the flowing lines move the eye through space to the far staircase.

Editing

I recently scanned the print and made just a few adjustments, but what you see here is pretty true to the print.

In my camera bag

These days I mostly use old lenses adapted for digital SLR bodies.

Feedback

Try to find the most interesting angles for any situation. Let yourself be surprised by the beauty you find in unexpected places. Don't worry about whether an image will please the conventional eye or be "commercially viable". Let yourself be blown away, even giddy, by what your lens finds that your eye may not.
