Location
This photo is a composite image with the model photographed in my studio in New Mexico. The background was taken at El Rancho de las Golondrinas, an incredible living museum located on 200 acres in New Mexico.Time
The background was taken in the afternoon and the model of course doesn't really matter as it was taken in the studio.Lighting
My standard setup is two strobes with large octobox diffusers at 45 degrees with one shooting downwards to highlight the face and hair mimicking natural sunlight. Shot against a white background.Equipment
My camera is a Canon 6D and the lens was a 24-105. No tripod but I do shoot tethered to my laptop which is connected to a 50 inch screen.Inspiration
I have a huge wardrobe and prop selection as one of my hobbies (addictions) is garage/estate sales so I love to create new looks using my new found finds.Editing
Yes! My go to tools are Photoshop and Topaz and recently I have been using Infinite Texture as well.In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 6D with my 24-105, 100-400 and 16-35 lenses.Feedback
For me I like to keep my lighting fairly simple while lighting the whole model so that they can be placed in any type of environment without too much hassle. Creating clean and precise selections are key as well as tying the piece together with complementary lighting and color.
