I really enjoy your technique. It looks very retro. Very 40s and 50s-ish. My only thing is that the lighting is off just enough that she looks pasted on. The sun light on the plane is a little more than 1 o'clock to the nose. The woman has a broad side lighting directly facing her with a kicker on her opposite side. the shadows fall differently from the rest of the image. It just makes enough of a difference to make the image seem off. Again I love the technique.

Location
The main subject was shot in my home studio in California.Time
About 2pm.Lighting
Other than the lighting on the model, it was natural sunlight. Two strobes where used for the model.Equipment
Canon 20 D, 28-300 lens, two strobes with umbrellas.Inspiration
I purchased the air force jumpsuit at a local antique shop that was going out of business. The headset was actually used by my Father who served in the Air Force. I knew I had to use these components in a composite.Editing
All of the work was done in Photoshop and Lightroom. I will usually start with the main subject (the model) and put the other images that fit the theme in later. I used a plane that I shot on a trip to a plane museum in California. Since the plane shoot had a boring hazy sky I used clouds that I shot on a cloudy day in the California desert. I used the same cloud image to duplicate as a reflection in the sunglasses. In my camera bag
Canon 6D now, 24-105 lens, 100-400 lens, 50mm lens and a flash.Feedback
When putting together composites it is important to study the lighting, the angle, the focus and color of an image. I am constantly on the lookout for different backgrounds, textures, clouds and other images that may one day be used in a composite image. The model or models need to be lit consistently so that they will match the lighting in the scene. The last part of the composite for me is choosing whether or not to use filters to give a certain look or feel.
