We took a bush plane ride to a beach one afternoon in Alaska. The main salmon run that day was in the morning, but blowing downpours would have prevented any photography. So quality over quantity was the rule of the day. This mama bear was resting, yet watchful over her rambunctious children as they played in their breathtaking home. We could have stayed for hours, but nature had a different clock - the pilot had to take off before the tide took away our runway!
