Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is of Palm Springs just outside of Halls Creek in the Kimberley of Western Australia

Time

The photo was taken about 4.30 in the afternoon roughly 2hrs before sunset. The changing light as the sun sunk behind the ranges emphasises the differences in colour and contrast

Lighting

I have other photos of the same place but they just don't have the richness and vibrancy you get when taking photos during the golden hour

Equipment

Hand holding a Nikon 7200 with a 45mm to 130mm lens. Leaning against the ute for stability

Inspiration

I'm a nurse, it can be a stressful occupation. The simple serenity of places like this help keep me focused.

Editing

There is no post production work on this image

In my camera bag

I have a range of cameras, lenses and tripds I keep in my ute, grabbing what seems to be a good idea at the time. At the time.e I was using a Nikon 7200 with a 45mm to 130mm lens.
