This was taken on November 1, 2019 at 1:50 in the afternoon. We bought this house mostly because we fell in love with the backyard! I was walking back there one afternoon and the colors were so surreal.Lighting
I just loved the oranges and yellows. It looked like a fall postcard. The picture is looking west/southwest, so the sun was a little to the left, and it not being the summer, was not too high in the sky.Equipment
Amazingly, this was taken with an iPhone XS with a vivid warm filter. I was out walking in my yard without my camera nearby, and I just had to capture those colors!Inspiration

My camera bag has a Canon EOS and a few basic lenses. I have another bag that carries my 500-1500 zoom and lense filters.Feedback
You never know when you are going to see THAT picture. So be prepared. In my case, nature was all I needed, and I didn't require any of my fancy camera equipment. But you never know. Now i frequently walk the yard with my camera in hand!
