Although this festival has sakura in its name, there are no cherries to be found anywhere. But rather many breathtaking fields of creeping phlox (Phlox subulata). With a Fuji-san as a majestic backdrop. What else could you possibly want! Perhaps some delicious food? You got it more than you can eat at this festival :D. We went for a blue cotton candy in a shape of Fuji.
