I had never thought about modern buildings in St Petersburg. I have read tourist guides, and none of them mention buildings like this.

The stadium was built in 2016 on the site of the old stadium named after S.M.Kirov. 2016-2018 it has name Stadium Saint-Petersburg. Since december 2018 it named Stadium Gazprom Arena. At the 2018 FIFA World Cup the stadium hosted the 1/8 final of Sweden-Switzerland, the 1/2 final of France-Belgium and the 3rd place match of Belgium-England.
